Sedna HoReCa Secures ₹50 Crore to Transform India’s Hospitality Supply Chain
In a game-changing development for India’s hospitality sector, Sedna HoReCa, a Hyderabad-based B2B platform for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry, has secured a ₹50 crore equity investment from Anicut Capital. This strategic funding will pave the way for the company to develop India’s first integrated, technology-driven B2B solutions platform aimed at revolutionizing the fragmented HoReCa ecosystem.
Founded by Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, who previously co-founded Aknamed, Sedna HoReCa is on a mission to redefine the operational landscape for HoReCa businesses across India. The platform operates with three key verticals:
B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS): At the core of its tech-driven solutions, Sedna HoReCa offers innovative software tools like SupplyNote, an advanced inventory management system, and BillNote, a point-of-sale (POS) software tailored specifically for restaurants and cafes. These tools, developed by AdCount Technologies, are now part of Sedna’s offerings, with AdCount’s founding team joining Sedna’s leadership.
Commerce and Distribution: With solutions like Vyap, a supply distribution platform, and SupplyLink, a 3PL/4PL solution for HoReCa businesses, Sedna is tackling the industry’s key challenges — high procurement costs, erratic supply chains, and inventory losses. These solutions promise to streamline procurement and logistics, making operations more efficient and cost-effective.
Products and Food Solutions: Venturing into the food segment, Sedna HoReCa plans to introduce ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve products, with a new food production facility in Bengaluru. This will help businesses meet the rising demand for convenience without compromising quality.
With this infusion of ₹50 crore, Sedna HoReCa is set to expand rapidly across 20 cities in the next 12 months, bringing cutting-edge solutions to the HoReCa industry nationwide. The company’s innovative platform is poised to be a one-stop shop for HoReCa businesses, offering everything from software tools to supply chain management and food products — all powered by technology.
India’s HoReCa sector is currently fragmented, with businesses facing numerous challenges such as inefficiency in supply chains, rising operational costs, and a lack of integrated solutions. Sedna HoReCa’s vision to combine technology and innovation in a seamless platform positions it as a key player in addressing these pain points.
The ₹50 crore funding from Anicut Capital will not only help expand Sedna’s reach but also support its mission of bringing the latest technological advancements to the hospitality industry. By offering integrated solutions, Sedna is set to elevate the HoReCa ecosystem, making operations smoother, faster, and more efficient for restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses across the country.
As India’s hospitality industry continues to grow, Sedna HoReCa is at the forefront of innovation, offering solutions that bridge the gap between technology and the operational needs of HoReCa businesses. With this funding, Sedna is primed to become the go-to platform for businesses looking to optimize their supply chains and operational processes.
